Dimethylthiotoluenediamine (abbreviation: DMTDA), with the molecular formula C19H14N2S2, is an environmentally friendly and low-toxic liquid aromatic amine chain extender, and is the best substitute for MOCA. It is mainly used for casting polyurethane elastomer (CPU), which can be used directly at normal temperature or after heating. It is also used for reaction injection molding polyurethane urea (RIM), spray polyurea elastomer (SPUA) and adhesives. The curing speed of DMTDA is much slower than that of DETDA, and it can be mixed with DETDA in different proportions to adjust the curing speed to meet different needs.
DMTDA is new-model polyurethane elastomer curing crosslinking agent. Compared with common MOCA, it is liquid with low viscosity at normal temperature, and it is suitable for working at low temperature.
